Cultivating good communication between parents and children is essential for emotional development and strengthening, self-knowledge, self-confidence, and the reinforcement of values necessary for a harmonious life.
When good communication fails or is not effectively fostered, it can lead to a loss of trust, which leads to lying and feelings of loneliness. In turn, episodes of lying lead to the breakdown of family relationships and give rise to internal conflicts.
We must remember that it is important to understand children’s tastes and preferences. It is not just about imposing what they seem to like from an adult perspective, but rather about strengthening and reviving what makes them unique and special.
We all carry a diamond waiting to be discovered and polished. Be the best version of yourself!
Learning to know ourselves is essential to identifying what makes us unique and special, allowing us to further identify and value the qualities and traits we carry within us. By accepting and respecting ourselves, parents play a fundamental role in their children’s lives, helping them discover that unwritten poem that, like Perse, we all carry within us.
Did you know that…
A long time ago, there was a division in the parenting strategies of dinosaurs.
Some species had precocial offspring (like most reptiles) that could fend for themselves shortly after birth. Others, especially hadrosaurs like Maiasaura, had altricial young, which were born helpless and required their parents to provide food and protection for months.
